We have endeavoured to make the Reclaim the Night march and rally as accessible as possible. Please contact us if you have any specific requirements and we will do our best to meet them.

A map of the route will be provided at the begininng of the march.

The march is 1.5 miles, we anticipate that it will take just over an hour to walk.

The pace will be set by the last person, it is important we all stay together.

There are no steps on route.

There are parts in the march that will be steep, it has been impossible to avoid this in Sheffield! A potential area for difficulty is when we go up Rockingham St from The Moor to Division Street. Stewards are aware of this and will ensure that the pace remains slow and manageable.

There is not an official shorter/alternative route that has been tested. Alternate routes are likely to include more of Division Street, which on a Friday night will be very busy. Please talk to the stewards if you would like to leave the march and they will be able to signpost you to public transport.

If you face any difficulties on the march please alert a steward; they have all completed training and will be able to assist you.

The march is open to women and people who also experience discrimination or oppression based on their gender identity. However, the march is also open to male carers, personal assistants and dependents.

Please be aware that we expect the march to be busy and noisy.

The rally will be held at Coffee Revolution, Western Bank.

The venue has step free access and automatic doors.

There will be seating in the main rally area and in a separate quiet area.

These are on different floors but there is a lift near the entrance of Coffee Revolution.

There are accessible and gender neutral toilets.

During the rally there will be speeches and performances from poets and musicians. These will probably discuss triggering issues such domestic violence and harassment – there is a separate quiet room should you need to take time out.

Unfortunately we have been unable to find a BSL interpreter. However, if anyone knows of somebody who could perform this role please contact us at

Coffee Revolution is alcohol-free; other drinks and snacks available until 10pm.
